If you’re looking for a site that will woo you back into love, take a peek at this little ditty.

I’ve been searching for unique dresses for my sisters wedding…or any other special occasion…and I found this awesome site. All vintage dresses, all fun and unique. I’m not sure if this one will work for a winter wedding, but I’d love to get it just to wear out for dinner.

I was on Etsy for the first time in forever today and I found a few things that cought my eye (imagine that! This hardly ever happens on Etsy…wink):

And before I spend my last penny, I need to stop looking…

Oh: A new fave blog!

Valleygirl Rant

In Uncategorized on July 15, 2009 at 5:17 pm

In order to post this entry, I feel like I should be in high heels, and talk like a valley girl…but unfortunately I’m not. My co-workers wish I was, because talking like a valley girl in a John Deer Dealership would be pretty funny…

Ok. So there’s a couple of things!

The other day I was watching ET Canada and learned that they are casting for remakes of some older classics. Some of my faves. Like Footloose and Pretty Women. A very cool thought to know these are coming into the makes again! Priceless!! But…and a big but…I’m not going to be watching them. Why not? I’ll tell you why. Because instead of the beautiful Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, they’ve cast Jessica Simpson. And instead of Kevin Bacon, they’ve cast Chace what’s-his-ma-dingle. And there’s talk of Amanda Bynes poping in there somewhere…

It makes it so obvious that they’ve cast these movies for the tweens, teeny-boppers that wont’ appreciate the quality and classic-ness (new word) of the originals. And this ticks me off. They’re going to completely ruin these movies. They’re formulating them for quick cash and not quality. It makes me sick.

I didn’t realize before that I was so passionate about this type of thing…

Also. Lookit this jerk. Several people I’ve talked to are like “Well, Kate deserves it, have you seen the way he treats him??” Who cares, is my thought. What a complete jerk to go and start dating a 22 year old and leave his wife at home, not dating, still clinging to him, with the kids. Completely selfish. Wowsa.

And what’s the world coming to that adulterous jerks like this make the front page of the magazines? I realize there’s things going on in the background that we don’t see, but still, I can’t believe that he’s on the front page of People. Rude. Someone should smack him, not give him publicity.

Phewf. Just my thoughts…Maybe I need a zen moment…

Marie Antoinette

I went to the movie store the other day and saw that the new (ish) Marie Antoinette was on sale. So I bought it. It’s not the kind of movie that I normally like; the actors don’t have the proper accents, the music is modern…I love the era but with those other things added to it, it’s not “traditional” which is what I like. Besides that, Hubby pointed out that it’s a slow movie. But when I saw this movie a year or so ago, I completely fell in love.

It is a slower movie, but it really makes you feel like you’re apart of the livestyle and the everyday tid-bits of Marie and her friends. It’s so rich in color, the costumes are to die for and the food makes you drool!

I have to point out too that I watched this movie before we went to Versailles. Now that we’ve actually been there, I love Marie Antoinette even more! It makes the trip to Versailles and the Queens Hamlet come alive.

One of the best parts of Versailles was the steps. A weird thing to be my favorite part…but it was so amazing walking up them and seeing how worn they were from the years of suffering under the heels of royalty. I kept thinking “Wow, they walked here, I’m walking exactly where Marie Antoinette walked!”.

I’ll have to post more pictures of the Queens Hamlet, Marie’s amazing little village behind her palace. It was surreal. But more about that later…

In Uncategorized on July 4, 2009 at 6:37 am

Ok. So hubby is away for the weekend, quadding with the boys…and I’m here watching chick flicks, eating chinese and chocolate icecream (not at the same time). Gash I love this showwwww! Samantha Who. It friggen crackssss me uuup! And yummy boys. Oh my gosh! Yummy. And Jersey seems to love it too. She’s sitting on the floor beside me, all perky ears (as much as Golden Retreivers can have perky ears).

Here’s a line from Sam Who: “Ooo! Our best friend, dates our boss and we start mentioning things we want and BOOM! We get those leather desk chairs that form to the shape of our butts!”. Ok, maybe it was a ‘gotta be there’ situation…

Guess what else I did tonight! I booked 4 Arbonne parties. Yep, that’s right F.O.U.R. And last night it was another 4. Filling up my July and hopefully finding chickies to train in the business!

Have a great weekend everyone!
