Looking through some WordPress blogs yesterday I found a link to a new blog platform called Tumblr. Well, it’s new to me. I’ve decided to try my new blog, City Kat, there for a while. I LOVE the theme I have on it now, it makes my story entries so much easier to read. And there are tons of other themes to pick from too, ones that are way more creative than the ones I’ve been finding for WordPress.com.

I love my WordPress blog, but I love the features that this Tumblr has so far. I dont’ like that you don’t have built in Stats, which is something I know I’m going to find a pain. You have to use Google Analytics, which I’ve never had much luck with. But I’ll get it worked out.

My Kitty blog seems to be finding its flow. The first few blogs were kinda rough, not really a style that I liked. That always happens with all types of writing though, you have to find your style and sometimes it takes a little while. I’m on entry #12 and I think that I’ve found the writing style I like.

Go on over and take a look!

love!

Check out this Etsy shop too! Love love love!

Two-Timing Kitty

In Uncategorized on October 21, 2009 at 4:09 pm

Luke sat in front of me like a tempting piece of chocolate. Something I wanted, so badly, something that tasted so good, but in the end wasn’t great for my health and something I knew I couldn’t resist.

Have you visited my other blog yet? I’m really having fun with it! I’ve created a character, Kitty, and each entry is like a (short) chapter in her story. I’m even ‘staying in character’ when I answer the comments. It’s really fun! We’ll see where it goes…a book deal eventually? Hmm. Nice thoughts anyways (:

Two-Timer

In Uncategorized on October 5, 2009 at 6:26 pm

I’m a two-timin’ blogger! I have two blogs going now…as if I don’t have enough to fill my time 😀

I love to write though, and I started this little ditty of a blog for a fictional character, Kitty. I thought it would be a cool way to write a story.

See what you think!

Other than that, life has been busy with Arbonne…my business is growing like I didn’t think was possible! I’m SO excited to see it expanding and  growing into my goals. It’s really cool to know that soon I’ll be able to quit my day job (or at least replace my income)!

The house is coming along too, windows and doors are in, sub floor is layed, roof is fully finished. We’re working on the electrical now and then we’ll be on to insulation (which is important, considering we’ve already had a snowfall!) and drywalling. Woo!! Pictures to come, I promise!!

Like I said…

…Why me?

Last night, I went for a bike ride with one of my friends, Laura. We’ve been going for rides at least a couple times a week and both really really enjoy the work out and fresh air (how I’m going to live without my bike rides in the winter, I don’t know).

We’re riding along last night, going down one of the main streets in town, but it wasn’t too busy, so we were side by side, chatting about the latest story in our lives.

A siren went off behind us.

A police siren.

“Is that for us??” Yes, it was for us. Lights, siren, action. If only there was a camera involved.  The cop was really nice, apparently stopping us because we should be single file instead of side by side…but realllllly….how bored must he have been to stop two girls on peddle bikes?!

Yeah, we laughed so hard!!

And as my friends say “Only you Kate, only you”.

My ‘Why’

In Uncategorized on June 27, 2009 at 7:19 pm

I just posted this entry on my Facebook page and thought it would be a good thing to post here too!

I have always been an entrepreneur, always trying business ideas no matter how big or small, and I’ve always known that owning my own business would be the only way I would really be happy about my job.

That’s why when Arbonne came along, I knew I had to jump on that train! The way that Jannah explained that she was able to take months off of work to be with her new baby, and STILL get paid a full wage, really made me realize that that’s what I wanted. Besides that, there was something about this business that I trusted and I felt clarity and a nudge towards it.

Something that Grandpa keeps reminding me about is that I’ll never be happy until I’m my own boss. And if you know me, you’ll know how true this really is! I’ve been working full time since I was 16 and I’ve had at least 15 jobs since then…some of them at the same time…(Let me just clarify that I’ve only been fired from one work place…the rest I left because I wasn’t happy for various reasons).

I want to be my own boss, I want to set my own work hours, I want to earn a wage that I’m worth!, I want to take holidays when I want, I want to sleep in, I don’t want to be blamed for someone else’s mistakes, I want to stay at home with my kids and still have a full time wage coming in. And you guessed it! Arbonne offers all of this and more!

What other job can you work at and say “My wage will never stop increasing!” or “Guess what, my boss is giving me a Mercedes!” or “I get paid for my co-workers work too!”, or even “I’m headed to Mexico for an all inclusive trip paid for by my company!”

Everyone seems to think that there are very few people who actually succeed at businesses like these…but guess what! I know and my upline personally knows MANY women, in BC, in Alberta, in small towns and big cities, that are driving their Mercedes, earning huge cheques per month and going on trips with Arbonne!

If you want it, it’s there! You just have to push forward and take it for yourself, and that’s what I’m doing. Care to join me?

If you’re curious about Arbonne and the business, listen to this link by Becky Young. It’ll only take 25 minutes aprox and it’s SO interesting! If you want to go further from there, let me know! I’d love to answer any questions you have!

Camping

In Uncategorized on April 20, 2009 at 3:31 pm

Hubby and I went camping this weekend, and it was so refreshing to go out of town, escape the busy life and press the “restart” button.

Our camping spot is about 45 minutes out of town and pretty much in the middle of no-where. We love this spot, it’s surrounded by trees, beside a flowing river and really private (other camping spots are down the road, but no where near our spot). My favorite part of the weekend was when we were about to go into the camper for bed, the fire had dwindled down and it was near pitch-black. I looked up at the sky and the stars were so bright and so deep, it was hard to look away. Amazing!

Our dog had so much fun going for a run with the quad, swimming after beavers and wrestling with her friend Dom. She was finally out of energy by the time we got home…that never happens!

And today, real life continues…I’m at work, pretending to work, I had to wake up early, I need to book a hair trim, I’m making lists for Arbonne parties and orders, I’m trying not to think of England because we’re just that much closer (eek!!!)!

I’m being featured on Wunderbug this morning, on Courtney’s “My Story” entry. Take a peek!
