Mistletoe and Summer Flowers

In Uncategorized on December 17, 2009 at 4:28 pm

It’s crazy how, after a week of -40c weather, -10c feels so summery! “You know you’re Canadian when…”

I’m looking through Etsy today, trying to decide about a custom buckle from Fosterweld, browsing Gift Guides (and lusting over this summer floral picture by Get The Picture) and getting in the Christmas mood!

A few more things I need to do to get into the Christmas mood:

  • Watch Love Actually
  • Put on the Xmas tunes and wrap gifts
  • Drink some mint hot chocolate
  • Bake goodies!

Tonight my little sister is coming to sleep over. She’s 15 and I love it when she sleeps over and we can have a Girls Night. Chick flicks here we come!

~ So Sweet ~

So you know how I purchased a block picture from Skinny Swallow? Well, I got it in the mail yesterday and it came with a surprise! Another block! Yep, a second one for free. I love this shop, Michaela has a way of making her buyers feel so special and loved.

The block below is the free one that Michaela sent me, isn’t it beautiful? I think this one is going to go in my living room, maybe beside my antique books…or right next to my great-aunts tea cups.

This week is turning out to be a busy one! I decided to go for the next level in Arbonne at the last minute (late last week!) and I’ve been working hard at getting there! My goal is to hand out 20 samples in the next couple days, this way I’ll get new contacts and hopefully a few sales. I also have three parties this week (the second one is tonight!), so that’s keeping me on my toes!

But I’m going to do it! I’m going to make it to District and start reeling in the big bucks! Wish me luck!

Mini Me

I found this great site through another blog and think it’s the greatest!! The site is called Tilt Shift Maker and you upload a normal picture and adjust the depth of field to make it look like a miniature!

This is a picture I took of one of our quads, stuck in a “puddle” last summer…uploaded into TSM and made to look mini. Freakin’ cool, isn’t it?? Try it out!

Well well! Look at that. I’m back two days in a row!

I’m tired and hungry but super happy! I had an Arbonne party last night that went really well. One girl signed up as a consultant and two girls bought $840.00 worth of products! There was a bit of confusion about the ordering buy we got it straightened out and it’s all good now.

My focus now is to book more parties. My goal is to book three parties a week in February. Hopefully that will get me to the next level in the company and I’ll be just that much closer to working full time with Arbonne and driving my Mercedes!

People keep asking if getting the Mercedes from Arbonne is actually a realistic goal. Um, yes!! I live in a smaller town (10-13,000 pop) but there’s three girls in my area already driving their Mercedes and working full time at the Arbonne business. It’s do able IF you’re willing to work to get there.

You always have to view it as doing work now for play later. It’s not hard work, it’s a matter of keeping those wheels turning. And it’s FUN! I get three nights a week with great girls, visiting, trying out cosmetics and eating great munchies! It just doesn’t get better than that!

I work full time too but weirdly enough, I haven’t viewed my Arbonne nights as being overwhelming or “work”…EVER! That says alot.

Back to Etsy: Don’t you just LOVE the picture above?? It’s from the Trace My Face shop, you’ve gotta check it out! It’s really a great store, full of fun items, all types of things to entertain you!

Gift From a Sparrow

A few Friday’s ago I featured Little Sparrows Nest, a super adorable Etsy shop filled with great photos. The owner of Little Sparrow was so pleased that I featured her, she sent me a free item! SO cool! I received it last week and I’m really impressed with the quality and the look of the item, it’s such a beautiful little piece of art. Once we start painting our bedroom the photo (which is mounted on a wooden block) will go up beside one of the bed side tables. I’m planning on purchasing this photo soon to go above the other table. It’s amazing how the colors match the paint I’ve picked out!

Thanks SO much Little Sparrow (:

A fellow Etsy seller, Julie Christie, contacted me the other day to let me know I was in her Treasury! Thanks so much Julie (:  I really really love it that my bag was apart of this Treasury!

Wish I was here…

But I’m not…I’m here…waking up early for another Farmers Market. Hopefully this morning will go better than last week!

I’m so exhausted that I really shouldn’t be going this week, but I committed to it, so I really should. It really is a good think that it’s a long weekend, otherwise I’d be a mess for the coming week. My hubby’s bummed that we can’t go camping (friends are coming from out of town and we need to visit with them!) but I’m just as happy to laze around the house and craft.

I finally received my newest project supplies in the mail! The new straps I’m going to be trying out! I’ll need to test a few bags with it first, but I’m really excited for the final results to start showing. There’s some great ideas in my little brain, we’ll have to see if I can bring them to life!
